Hermans & Schuttevaer/Utrecht

One of the largest notary offices in Utrecht

Hermans & Schuttevaer is one of the largest notary offices in Utrecht. When moving to a new location, the interior usually needs to be revived. For this project we worked together with Ruud Beeuwkes Architects and OPL Architects who were responsible for the design. Sprank was responsible for selecting the floor finishes, the visuals, and we supplied the furniture and the custom made furniture.

The building where we worked was an old bank building that the contractor had completely demolished and rebuilt on the inside. Open work spaces were created in the renovated building, and these types of work spaces require extra attention with regards to the acoustics in the building.

We achieved this by laying a soft, printed carpet, which makes a lot less noise than, for example, wood. That is also the case with the Expona floors that look like wood, but have much nicer acoustics. We supplied special furniture for the management and even finer acoustics through the use of acoustic sliding door cabinets.

In short

  • We mostly want to know why new accommodation, refurbishment or transformation of the office is necessary, and what the benefits have to be for the people, the company and the customers.

  • The first image formation gives an impression of a new interior, the office design, working methods and the atmosphere.

  • If you are pleasantly surprised, we will refine the design: we'll align colours and materials, and develop technical drawings and interior design.

  • We supervise construction and interior design, so that we can commission the project in a usable form. We work hard to always honour our agreements.
